I made this 'Home Sweet Home' sign using walnut plywood for the background and basswood for the words. I then scored a flower pattern on the background.
The sign is the file is ready to cut and score but you can make some adjustments before processing such as the size and font.
If you change the font remember to use the weld feature in XCS to join all of the letters together so that they cut in one piece, this makes glueing them to the sign much easier.
I used the same settings for cutting both 3mm walnut plywood and 3mm basswood.
These are the settings for scoring the flower pattern (purple layer in design file) on to the walnut plywood.
Once all the parts are cut, you will need to glue the words to the background but first you wight want to add some varnish or wax to the walnut to give a nicer finish and some protection.
