Well I had all 6 coins Canada offered back in 1977 so I figured why not display them.
Step 1) I started with a maple leaf, the Canadian known symbol and sized it according to fit the 6 different coins.
Step 2) I then after carefully measuring each coin I made circles sized to fit each one.
Step 3) I then wanted to outline the maple leaf so I used the outline feature.
Step 4) I then grouped the maple leaf with the 6 different sized holes for each coin, this will be cut from the 1.5mm birch and the settings were set.
Step 5) In this step I adjusted the settings for the backing which will be the 1/4" maple, it will be cut at a different time.
Step 6) Once the settings were all set I added the name which would be an engraving on the 1.5mm birch the settings were as follows.
Step 7) Once the laser was all finished cutting both the 2 different wood they were glued together and the coins were added, I measured these holes so each coin press fit into the holes and would not fall out. I then proudly hung it on the wall to display the 6 coins Canada offered in 1977. Enjoy!
