This key hanger will keep your keys organized and safe. This was a fun project to work on. Relatively easy to make. I use mine for keys that I don't carry on me. this way the wood key chains wont break from everyday use.
My settings are based on what I have found to work best on my D1 pro 20w. I have the machine engrave deeply so that detail is not lost when sanding. To make things easier I have engraved orientational directions on the design so that there is a number and an idea of what direction is the top of the three panels. Make sure to either take a picture or note of these before starting the assembly.
Once the piece is done running go ahead and sand any burn marks off. Be careful not to oversand the pieces. Then choose a stain you would like and allow it to dry. For mine I chose a light stain on the panels and a darker stain on the keys to give it a little contrast.
Taking note of the orientation of the panels, apply glue to one side of panel 2. Then place panel 2 onto panel 3. Then take panel 1 look at where it will come into contact with panel two and apply glue to those areas. place it on panel 2. Next clamp them on a flat surface. Wipe any glue that squeezes out and allow it to dry. Once it is dry you are ready to hang it up and start organizing your keys. Enjoy!
