For this project, I've opted for a unique material in the design of the card badge, utilizing 1/16 inch plywood. The foundational design allows for personalization to congratulate any individual by merely incorporating their name.

Step1: Customize the design
In this project I created a simple design of a bird perched on a branch. You can build on this design to add in a personal message, but first, lets work on the placement.
Step2: Add curved Text
I added in a text box and used the curve tool to bend the text around the top left of the design. You can mirror this in the lower right corner or simply add some straight lines of text
Step3: Cut Out
Finally, I added the built in square with curved corner shape from the XCS software. I am using this to cut out the badge for the card. this could be customized to incorporate a custom shape if desired.
Step4: settings
The settings are for the D1 5W laser. You may need to adjust the settings for your laser configuration.
Be sure to follow all the safety guidelines for your laser and always wear personal protective equipment when the laser is in operation.
