Celebrate completing a soccer season with this trophy project. From start to finish, this project will show you how to create a nice looking trophy with customizable options.
For this project, I am letting the image be the base of the design. I created an image of a soccer ball in the grass. We will need to first outline it and use this vector to cut out the shape and engrave the image.
Next I thought it would add interest to add the year to the top of the design. To do this simply add a text box and enter the year. Next use the curve tool with the textbox selected to bend the text to match the curve of the design.
Next, Let's add in some layered text to add depth to the design.
The settings are for the D1 5W laser. You may need to adjust the settings for your laser configuration.
Be sure to follow all the safety guidelines for your laser and always wear personal protective equipment when the laser is in operation.
The next task is to create a display block. Since I am working with 1/8 inch plywood, I will use a single pass on the table saw to cut a notch. Next I simply insert the design into the kerf of the cut and glue it in to secure it.
Finally, add on the Congrats text and optionally you can add the player number.
