Car wheel and brake disc wooden coasters

Most coasters are usually 100mm in diameter but you can easily adjust the size if you require a a specific size.

You can also make the brake disc smaller and glue it to the back of the wheel to make a dual layer design.

I used the above settings with my D1 Pro 5w laser to cut and score on 3mm plywood. If you are using a different machine or material and aren’t sure what setting to use, I would recommend doing a small scale test first or use the test array feature in the XCS software.

You’re coasters are now complete and can be used immediately or you could add some stain or lacquer to protect and enhance the finish of the wood.
