Step1: Idea & Design

I really struggled with organizing my painttubes and always wanted a easy way to quickly use them and get the right colors.

Out there are many stand holders but I have no space on my desk so it needed to be hanging.
This type of organization is mostly known with 3D printing as you can print these in one piece with no need to assemble it. I don't own a 3D printer but a Laser, so I thought this should be possible to create a Version.

I meassured my paints and created all parts with illustrator. For the Slide In/Out I needed 11mm.

This number might need do be changed with different wood thicknesses. For my 2mm it worked perfectly.

I uploaded 2 Files to make it less cluttered in one file. If you want print both just add them in one together and delete the set of thickness thats not needed.

Step3: Laser Settings

You might need to change the Settings when using 3mm Plywood. These are the ones for 2mm!

Add Glue to actual holder piece the same way as before done and stick onto vertical mount.

Now you only need some screws and drill it to a wall or like me in a separate wood plank.

Add you painttubes but be careful using it, the wood can always break when doing it wrong or too fast.

I really love this result and really happy to get this out of simple thinking and finding a solution for a problem. I finally can enjoy choosing colors more as it's visible in one look.

I hope you liked this Organizing Idea! ~Anzy
