Step1: Creating Jig

  1. Create rectangles based on your rod. Mine are mostly 1m in lengts so I cut them in pieces to achieve the most pieces out of it.
My cuts should 2cm so I cut 3 times to get even result and dont have any waste
  2. Duplicate as much you could place on you sheet or want to cut each time
  3. Now add vertical cut lines and use grid array to make similar distances

First Laser the Jig, it's an easy job as with usual plywood.

Cutting the rods

Place you rods in the jig, it should be a tight fit so the small pieces are sticking inside the holes instead of moving or flying away when cutting.

This way you don't have ti meassure every single rod for same length, dont have weird deformation of the pliers and can do something else in the time the lasers working.

I marked the middle of the jig to align to basplate lines and make sure positioning is easy done.

Hope you liked it and thinks it's helpful! ~ Anzy
