Information

I remembered my early days of using such tools and the frustration. i created an easy tutorial to copy and videos to watch.
a test print is also included as this is a prerequisite.
But my plan here was to bring the topic of nodes closer and the great use and power of this tool

Instruction

1

Step1: Using the Test grid

for easy copying and you can open the file in XCS and try it yourself
the advantage is that the color with which you use the vector tool is different from that of the grid so that you can see what you have created

in the settings you can turn off the function that the vector tool always aligns itself this helps in some situations - auto snapping

Step2: Trace the image

I have created 2 pictures with the AI to show how to use the trace image function and what you can do if this function is not usable

Step3: Tracing

you always have to play with the sliders frame by frame
until you have found the right setting

as soon as the picture is finished you have to ungroup it
and then you can remove the things you don't need anymore

Step4: Vectoring your own text :)

sometimes it is not possible to trace a picture
then there is the vector method
simply trace the lines

the practical thing is that you can still edit the nodes afterwards
you can then change it with your own ideas
