Layer 1 is the top layer of the puzzle and the pieces.

Layer is the back of the puzzle.

2

Step2: Paint top layer, spray paint works well on background and paint markers work well on dragonfly, butterfly, flowers, bunnies and swans

I prefer to spray paint the grass, water, and then use paint markers to add more details to smaller areas.  Spray sealer works well to preserve the paint and wood.

Step3: Once paint is thoroughly dry glue background pieces (grass, sky and pond) to layer 2.

Most craft glue works fine this.  I use Elmers glue or E6000. After glue is completely dry enjoy the puzzle if it is gift for some you can use shrink wrap to hold the pieces together until ready to use it,
