Description

Design your own journal cards, stamps and tickets

Make the little paper pieces that fill a journal page: cards, postage stamps, ticket stubs and postcards in soft Y2K styles. Pick a shape, a palette and a layout, type your own words, and the design is ready. Everything is drawn at its real size in millimetres, so what you see is exactly what prints.

  • 44 templates sorted into cards, stamps, tickets and postcards
  • 12 cut shapes, including stamp edges, a ticket with a tear-off stub, a vintage frame label and a heart
  • 15 layouts: postcard back, ticket stub, postage stamp, receipt, phone screen, ID card, lined notes and more
  • 15 palettes, each in light, colour and dark shades, plus 11 patterns
  • 16 phrase sets fill every line at once, and every line can be retyped
  • Add your own photo or drawing to the picture area

Start from a template

Templates sit under the upload box in four tabs: Cards, Stamps, Tickets and Postcards. Click one to apply its whole look, or press Shuffle for a new mix of colours, pattern and layout within the same type. Your text and shape stay as they are.

How to make them

  1. Pick a type and a template, or press Shuffle until you like what you see.
  2. Change the shape, colours, pattern and layout, then type your own text. Add a photo or drawing if you want one.
  3. Choose A4 or Letter. The sheet fills with as many copies as fit, or set your own number of copies.
  4. Click Export, then print the PNG at 100% with no scaling.
  5. Load the SVG as the cut line and cut the sheet. Open in Studio sends both files straight to xTool Studio.
  6. Stick the pieces into your journal, planner or scrapbook with washi tape or glue.

One print file, one cut file

Export gives you two files that share the same page size and origin:

  • A print sheet PNG at 300 DPI
  • An SVG cut file in millimetres, with every outline on a cut line xTool Studio recognises
  • Optional registration marks for print-then-cut machines
  • Adjustable bleed, so a slightly off cut never shows a white edge

Supported materials

  • Plain printer paper, for paper cards to glue or tape in
  • Printable sticker paper, matte or glossy, for peel-and-stick pieces
  • Light card stock, for postcards, tags and sturdier tickets

Use any paper your printer can feed and your cutter can cut.

Good to know

  • The card fonts cover Latin letters. Other scripts print in a system font.
  • Test one sheet on plain paper before printing on sticker paper or card stock.
