To engrave an egg, it doesn't matter whether it's cooked or raw. I prefer cooked eggs, though.
First, place the egg in the center of your laser and measure the distance. Then, switch the processing mode to curved surface.
Perform a curve measurement and align your design.
The blue diode laser is suitable for eggs (IR lasers won't work). I determined these settings through testing, and they work perfectly.
Now you can start the process. Make sure your ventilation system is working properly and that you're taking all necessary safety precautions.
