Information

I designed a practical and cozy solution to keep everyday coffee essentials neat and within reach.

First the rotating tower that sits on a stable base, was made to hold coffee cups and up to 6 (4mm) coasters in an easy and accessible way.

Next to the tower, there is a two-drawer storage unit that adds extra space for coffee accessories. One of the drawers includes a 12 Nespresso pots organizer, making it easy to sort and store capsules without clutter.

This project is all about creating a small, organized coffee corner that feels warm, tidy, and ready to enjoy at any moment!!

Step1: Materials & Machine Settings

This project was designed for 4mm plywood. If you are using a different wood thickness, you may need to adjust the finger joints so the parts fit properly.

I used the xTool D1 Pro 20W machine for this project. In the files, you’ll find three different line settings:

Black lines – Cutting
Speed: 1400 mm/min
Power: 95%
Passes: 9

Red lines – Engraving
Speed: 11000 mm/min
Power: 85%
Passes: 1

Green lines – Scoring
Speed: 8200 mm/min
Power: 85%
Passes: 1

For this project, I chose a faster cutting speed with multiple passes. This worked well for the specific batch of plywood I used.

Note: Always run your own test cuts before starting the full project to make sure the settings work well with your material and machine.

Start with the rotating tower. There are three round pieces with finger joints: the top, middle, and bottom parts.

First, use the middle piece to properly align the top and bottom pieces (this step is important). Once they are aligned, begin assembling the tower structure.

At the base, there is a scored circle to help you accurately align the two circular bottom pieces — make sure they match up before gluing.

Next, glue the engraved side pieces onto the tower.

Note: The outside engraved pieces must be placed in the correct pattern order, so pay attention to their sequence before attaching them.

Now it’s time to assemble the tower’s base.

Use the scored circle on the top of the base as a guide to properly position the two rings. Once they are aligned, glue them in place and allow the glue to set before moving on to the next step.
The Tower with the base should look like the image above!

Tip: This is a good time to cut the coasters too. You can fit up to 6 coaster.

Step4: Assembling the Drawers

The two drawers are simple and quick to assemble.

They are designed with a small gap on each side, allowing them to slide in and out smoothly and easily.

Tip: Apply a little wax to the outside surfaces and the bottom of the drawers to help them slide even more smoothly.

Step5: Pods Holder

The pod holder can store up to 12 nespresso type pods.

It was designed to fit neatly inside the drawers, but it can also be placed on top of the drawer base if you prefer to keep your capsules easily visible and within reach.

Step6: Drawer Base

The drawer base is designed to hold two large drawers.

Make sure everything is aligned properly before securing the pieces together.

Glue the engraved side and rear panels around the drawer base to complete the look. Again, follow the correct pattern order.

These decorative pieces add a warm and polished touch to the overall design.

Finally, add the drawers to the base and you are ready to enjoy!
