Information

      🏡 Presentation of the project
🌿 Refuge du Jardin – Birdhouse adapted to the birds in my environment

This project was born from a simple desire:
Creating a home that is actually useful for the birds in my environment, and not just a beautiful decorative object.

Before designing this birdhouse, I did a lot of research on the species around my home, including, small passerines and other local cave-dwelling birds.
I was particularly interested in:

The right inlet diameter to avoid predators

The ideal depth for nesting

The absence of a perch (in order to limit the risks)

Natural ventilation

The recommended direction

Every dimension of this cabin has been designed to meet the real needs of the birds in my area.
This cabin has 2 cleaning hatches, 1 for food in the small balcony and the other under the cabin so that I can clean it easily, in addition to a removable roof pant that I don't stick.

✨ Creative concept

I wanted to transform a simple nesting box into a real "Garden Refuge".

The botanical engravings represent:

The surrounding natural vegetation

Harmonious integration into the landscape

A safe and warm space

The sun engraved on the roof symbolizes the thoughtful orientation of the birdhouse.

🪵 Manufacturing

Material: Plywood 3 mm 3 sheet of 30cmx30cm

Precise cutting and assembly

Optimized design for repeatability

Clean and reusable files provided

The interlocking connection allows for a solid structure despite the thinness of the material.

🐦 Animal Interaction

This birdhouse has been designed to be used in real life.
It is not just a decorative object, but a shelter designed to welcome and protect local birds.

The aim is to promote local biodiversity and encourage the sustainable installation of birds in the garden.

🎯 Approach

I took care of:

✔ Create an original design
✔ Respect the biological needs of local birds
✔ Combining aesthetics and functionality
✔ Produce a fully physical and finalized project

For me, this project represents the balance between craftsmanship, creativity and respect for nature.
