This is a simple cord organizer. You will need to attach it to your work surface and use some glue.

For the first step, I created a base by making a rounded rectangle. Then, I added a hole that measured 3mm. I copied the hole and placed it on another rectangle that I had inserted. Finally, I combined both the rectangles. This step helped create the base and also provided a space for the cables to be placed later on.


For this step, I created a small rectangle that is the same width as the cables that I will be using. Then, I created a slightly larger circle and combined the two shapes. After that, I used the CTRL+C and CTRL+V commands to make a total of five copies. Then, I distributed them and placed them on the top of the cable holder. Finally, I subtracted them to make the final holes for the cable organizer.

For this project, you will need basswood, glue, and a way to attach it to your desk. I used a 3M command strip, but you could also use a piece of acrylic.

It's time to laser your project. To cut, make sure you change the settings on your machine. For this task, an S1 40-watt with basswood should work. Don't forget to always wear your laser-safe glasses for safety.

You're done! You will never mix up your cords again.
