Would you be mine? Here's a cute color engraving on stainless steel for Valentine's Day or any day you want to let someone know that you care.
A little secret: First I engraved a note on the other side of the card, but that's just for her and me. :)

Step1: Import the project in a new xTool Studio tab.
Preview
Open the attached xcs file in xTool Studio.

Step2: Optional: Make a color test grid.
Preview
If you want to choose the color of the heart balloon, make a test grid and change the settings of the heart layer accordingly.
This project was done with the F2 Ultra UV, but your laser engraver can probably engrave colors, too. Search Atomm for “Color Engrave Test Grid” and the model name of your xTool laser.
Or, just use the settings in the attached xcs file and see if you like the result.

Step3: Prepare for engraving - DEFOCUS 4mm!

IF YOU WANT A COLORED BALLOON, YOU HAVE TO DEFOCUS THE LASER.
On the F2 Ultra UV, add 4mm to the autofocus thickness setting as shown.
To get some variation in color across the engraving, place the material a little off center on the baseplate.
