Information

      This is storage for that instant coffee we never use "Emergency Only" and it works by getting it off the counter.  Besides storage it is a great conversation piece. The box is 1/8" Bass Plywood and the glass is 1/8" Green Translucent Acrylic (My First Published Acrylic Project with colored acrylic).

Step1: Gather, Cut and Engrave Materials for the Box

  1.  You will need 1 sheet of 12" x 12" Bass Plywood for the box
  2.   The layout is shown and setup in the above screen shot for you
  3.   The setting are also shown in the above screen shot

Step2: Gather, Cut and Engrave the Acrylic

  1.  This was my first Published Project using acrylic, so the setting could be better
  2.   It took 3 passes to cut the Green Translucent Acrylic, setting are shown in the screen shot above
  3.   NOTE:  I used the cutting setting shown above to get a the engraved look, it worked better for me.  This may not be the correct way, but worked for me.

Step3: Assembling the Box

  1.  The assembly is shown in the screen shot above.
  2.   Layout, glue the lower part of the box first
  3.   Second glue in the support rails to the inside of the lower box
  4.   Next glue on the box front and the “Need Coffee” plate on the box front

  1.  I painted the inside of the box to better see the engraving on the acrylic
  2.   Slide the glass (acrylic) in the opening at the top
