Information

I designed this organizer to store coffee pods for the OutIn espresso machine. It includes a fully removable drawer for storing the coffee pods and a raised shelf with storage underneath for small things like tea bags or small jars.

I used 3mm (1/8 inch) thick walnut plywood to make this. You will need to adjust the slots and the distance between the slots for different wood thicknesses. Please do not share this file outside of the xTool Atomm community.

  1. I used 3mm walnut plywood for the organizer. I loaded two 12x12 inch sheets into my P2. Use material pins or magnets so that it does not move around.
  2. Press Aimed-Measure, then move the blue box cursor over the wood surface and click anywhere on the wood. I got 3.5 mm as my thickness.
  3. In the software, I positioned the main design on top of the plywood using the camera.
  4. Click on the black layer color or select all of the design, and set your settings for Cut. I used 40 power, 15 speed, and 1 pass. You can ignore the blue text.
  5. Click the green Process button on the bottom right of the screen.
  6. A preview will be shown. Click the green Start button (top right) to send it to the machine.
  7. Press the button on the P2 machine to start laser cutting.

  1. Gather all the pieces for the drawer. They were labeled as “in box” in the file.
  2. Apply some glue to the finger joints and snap all the wall pieces together to the bottom piece to form the drawer.
  3. I used painter's tape to help hold the corners together as it dries.

  1. Gather all the pieces for the main organizer. They were labeled “out box” and top shelf in the file.
  2. Have the bottom piece in front of you and attach the 3 walls that will form the drawer holder.
  3. Without attaching the top parts of the 3 walls together yet, carefully slide the “out box top” into the slots. Use glue to secure and allow to dry.
  4. Gather the shelf piece and outer wall piece. Slide the top shelf piece into the top slot of “out box middle wall” piece.
  5. Then finally attach the last out wall piece to the top shelf finger joint.
  6. Allow all the glue to dry before using. I used painter's tape to help hold the corner walls together as it dries.
  7. Slide the drawer into the organizer.
  8. All done, enjoy your new coffee pod organizer.
