Slate Coasters - PART 1

First step is to arrange the slate coasters on the machine bed and take an image while aligning the laser.

Remember Slate being delicate the engraving is not through burning but by breaking, Higher power will crack the fine details. So please be Careful not to push the power too much. Multiple passes also do the same, So if you end up needing multiple pass, Low power and high speed passes still help.

Add Non-Functional Rectangle Boxes around the slate. This helps in aligning and also help to center any image that is being used for the purpose of engraving.

Select any one of the image and from here we have three ways to process it. In this step we are trying to trace the image so that when we engrave we can just get the part we need.

Once everything is arranged, we need to go with either of the settings below.

1. POWER -30%, SPEED-150,MODE- GREYSCALE, LINES/CM - 300
   
   OR
2. POWER -35%, SPEED-130, MODE- GREYSCALE, LINES/CM - 300

Cork Coaster - PART 1

I wanted to create a coffee décor piece that tells a story, not just a picture. This design represents the journey of coffee — from the plant and cherries, through the transformation of beans, to the final comforting cup.

I used a circular cork sheet because cork feels warm, natural, and café-friendly. It also matches the earthy vibe of coffee and makes the piece lightweight and easy to hang or display.

Cork Coaster - PART 2

The artwork is composed of three connected elements:

The artwork is a prompt driven generation using my original prompts and work.

• Coffee plant branch (origin + nature)
• Bean “flow” transition (process + transformation)
• Cup with rising steam (final experience + aroma)

The quote “Awaken with Every Sip” ties it together as a daily ritual.

Cork Coaster - PART 3

To keep it clean and readable on cork, I separated the design into:

• Bitmap layer (texture + shading) for beans and depth
• Vector layer (outlines + text) for crisp edges and legibility

This prevents the text from getting lost and keeps the rustic texture intentional.

Cork Coaster - PART 4

I engraved on cork using xTool Creative Space with a focus on a rustic, warm burn (not deep charring). Cork can burn easily, so I tuned for higher speed + lower power.

In the object list move the bitmap texture layer to the first layer and the line engraving in the second and make sure you have selected User Defined Mode as shown in the image.

1. Engraved the bitmap texture layer first to build depth gradually
2. Then engraved outlines and text to sharpen the final look
3. Used air assist to reduce smoke marks and keep edges cleaner

After the process is over do take a lint roller or some tape and take off the excessive charring.

Coffee Bar Signage - PART 1

The Coffee Bar Signage is a major element of this project, acting as the header and providing the hanging structure for the Coffee Recipe Board. Creating this piece involves engraving and cutting the different design components shown above.

Follow the above settings to engrave and cut the signage.

Coffee Bar Signage - PART 2

Once the engraving and cutting is done, feel free to add some colors if you need to make the engraving in the signage darker.

Coffee Bar Signage - PART 3

Now select an appropriate wood piece and stick various parts of the cut design and alphabets to make it all come together in the format shown above. Stick these using wood glue or E6000.

This concludes the second part third part of the design.

Coffee Recipe Board - PART 1

This project includes 24 different coffee recipes. Begin by bringing all the designs into xTool Studio and engraving them onto a 3 mm basswood board. In some cases, the text may not engrave deeply or clearly enough—if so, perform an extra engraving pass on the text as needed.

Coffee Recipe Board - PART 2

Using E6000 glue, attach the four pieces together and place them on a 2 ft × 2 ft cardboard base to ensure proper alignment and form a perfect large square.

Once the glue has fully dried, sand off any excess adhesive and apply a light-colored varnish to help conceal glue marks and create a uniform finish.

If desired, you can paint the glasses to differentiate between the foam and the coffee for added detail and visual clarity.

Coffee Recipe Board - PART 3

After completing the assembly, connect the Signage Board to the Coffee Recipe Board using hooks along with a keyring hook for secure hanging.
