Information

      This piece is a visual story of how love grows — not all at once, but slowly, through shared moments.

At the center is a heart that appears only when both halves come together. On their own, each side feels incomplete. When aligned, they form something whole — a reminder that love isn’t built alone.

Surrounding the heart are the everyday memories that shape a relationship: morning coffee, small trips, creative moments, quiet routines, and the idea of home. These aren’t grand gestures, but the simple, shared experiences that slowly turn “us” into a life together.

The circular design represents time — how each day adds another layer to the story. What begins as separate paths eventually becomes one journey.

This project was made by hand, with intention, and inspired by the belief that love doesn’t grow because of big moments — it grows because it’s shared, every single day.

Instruction

Step1

Preview

The top layer is intentionally kept simple and clean to highlight the heart mechanism. Use the provided XCS file to engrave this layer. You’re free to adjust the size and placement of individual design elements if you’d like to personalize it further.

All graphical assets used in this layer are sourced directly from xTool Creative Space. The recommended engraving settings are included as a reference screenshot. Once loaded, simply run the job on your xTool M1 Ultra (or any compatible laser machine) to complete the engraving.

Step2

Preview

Layer 2 is processed in a similar way to Layer 1, with a few important differences to note. Because this layer includes image-based engravings, Settings 5 and Settings 6 may need to be run twice to achieve the desired engraving depth and consistent color.

After completing the engraving and cutting steps, the finished piece should closely resemble the reference shown above, with clear details and well-defined artwork.

Step3

Preview

Leyer three i.e the top layer is pretty simple. One just needs to engrave and cut it and follow the assembly steps. I have also provided a small window that will help you see the inner engraved images that we were discussing about earlier.

Preview

Use red felt material to cut out the heart shapes. Attach one felt heart to the right side of Layer 2 and the other to the left side of Layer 3. This setup allows the third layer to rotate smoothly, and when aligned correctly, the two halves come together to form a complete heart.

Preview

You can add color to the engraved details using acrylic paint pens or any other coloring medium of your choice. Apply light pressure while painting, as pressing too hard may damage or wear down the engraved surface.

Preview

Once the painting is complete, use a board pin or a small pin that can pass through the center hole to allow the entire assembly to rotate. Place Layer 1 at the bottom, then attach Layer 2 on top of it, making sure the felt pieces are already in place. Finally, position Layer 3 on top and secure everything with the pin, as shown.
