The holes cut are designed for a standard coffee pod. In the file there are test pieces so that you can test with your own coffee pods to make sure that they fit before cutting out the design. The top layer holes are 1mm shorter at tghe top to stop the pods falling out.

Firstly engrave the messages onto your first piece of plywood. The messages can be changed to whatever you would like to show. I have used doggy themes such as “Bonejour!”, “This coffee is pawfect” and "Canine make a coffee". The next step is to cut out your base layer.

I lightly sanded then spray painted my beech board firstly with an white undercoat and then silverI spray painted the beech with a white uyndercoat and then 4 lightly sprayed layers of orange. I thought orange would give a nice . Once, dry I scored the design. This shows where to place the parts that are cut out for the top layer. I covered the areas where I wanted to cut with painter's tape to avoid any marks.

Next glue the bottom layer and middle layer together.

Next the top layer was cut out. I used 3mm beech ply for the backpack bits and two tone copper and black for “Beans” the dog.

I firstly spray painted a layer of white undercoat and then about 4 light layers of orange. I thought orange would be a good contrast to the silver. The QR code was engraved next using the previous settings.

Step4

Glue the top cut out bits onto the middle board using the scoring to place them. Check as you glue bthat the coffee pod is held in place.

The middle strap of the backpack is used to hang the holder. As this is an Outlin branded coffee pod holder I have created a URL code that links to their web site. The QY code and the “OutIn” cut can be replaced with whatever text is required.
