Determine the size of the photos you would like to be in the frame. You will want to make two rectangles, one slightly smaller and one slightly larger. Center or offset the smaller one in the center of the larger one, make the top or bottom smaller or larger based on your preferences and any words or designs you want to put on it. Repeat this so that you have 4 sets.
Determine the thickness of the material you are using. You will want to make a rectangular slot on the four corners of two of the rectangular frame sets a little larger than the thickness of your material. Take two small rectangles slightly smaller than the slots and make an L. You want to keep in mind that these will need to fit and latch into the other slots. Unite them on the other two frame so that when you lift and drop them into place they will “lock” the frames together.
Keeping the thickness of the material in mind again make a “U” shape that will be used to go over the photos and hold them in place. The muddle of the block “U” will need to be just slightly larger than the thickness of the material. If you are gluing the photos in or taping, you do not need to do this. Make a slot with a hole to fit the “latch” into. You want to make sure that the notch for the latch is just a little bigger than the material thickness. You can always sand it down if needed.
Put the latching pieces alternating with the slotted pieces and glue/decorate as desired.
