OutIn Inspired Wooden Coffee Coasters

Before you start, there are two ways to get your design onto the coasters:

Using the app, like I did, which is explained in the steps below.

Or, if you prefer, you can set it up manually using the “Marking Area” tool.

Make sure your xTool S1 is connected to the Creative Space App on your phone or tablet – Wi-Fi usually works best.

Open the app, start a new project, and pick the “Snapshot Preview” (or “Shoot Background”) function. This lets you capture the natural shape of your coaster.

If it’s your first time or you’re using new material, place the small calibration pins on the corners and follow the app instructions. This helps the laser know exactly where to work.

Place your coaster on the honeycomb board, make sure all four corners are visible, and take a snapshot. This becomes your background in the software.

Send the snapshot to your computer through the app. You might need to scan a QR code the first time; afterward, it will sync automatically.

On your computer, you’ll see the photo of your coaster as the background. Place your design exactly where you want it to appear – this makes sure your phrases and graphics match the natural edges perfectly

Use the automatic measurement tool to check your coaster’s thickness. This step helps the laser engrave or cut just right for the best results.

Add your design elements to the canvas, adjust placement if needed, and make sure to select the type of material you’re using. This ensures the engraving or cutting settings are correct. Then start the process – your Out-in coaster is ready to come to life!
