Kawaii happy face coffee cup earrings add a bit of whimsy to my wardrobe. Perfect for grabbing that morning latte or mocha. Basswood is very light and perfect for earrings
These earrings are approximately 1 ½" inches tall. Resize if desired. Place your basswood sheet in your xTool machine on the honeycomb and clamp it down with the magnetic clips. Process the material - the engraving will happen first, and the eyes and smile should be much deeper than the other engraving. When the machine finishes processing, remove the basswood and earrings from the machine.

Use a pen or marker to color in the eyes and mouth if they are difficult to see.
I like to use two jump rings to provide more movement for the earrings and also to help ensure the cute side faces forward. Thread the first jump ring through the hole at the top of the earring. Thread a second jump ring through the top of the first jump ring and then thread the second jump ring through earring wire's hole, ensuring that the hook end is facing toward the back of the earrings. Close the second jump ring. Repeat on other earring. Enjoy!
