Information

      These water-colored, laser-engraved, thick high high-quality cotton paper inserts are combined with thick card stock in my greeting card series.

Instruction

Step1: Engrave the image on high quality thick cotton stock

Step2: Cut frame using thick card stock to create window

Step3: Tape or Glue Cotton Stock after painting (optional) to card stock so that image shows through window.

I engrave the image onto the cotton paper. Then I hand-paint the image using watercolors, watching the paper grow as it absorbs the water-filled paint. This is a peaceful, meditative process. Oftentimes, I'll include an engraved saying inside the card that comes to me during the painting process. I hope that this simple project brings you the same peace, calmness, and joy that it brings me.
