click on the image above to enlarge.  I have marked where to click to open up the additional canvases.

In the included file, I have set up three different Canvases.  The first is for the Acrylic sheet.  I used 1/8" black Acrylic.  The canvas for wood is configured for 1/8" basswood plywood.  You can use any variety of color and wood combinations to make it your own.  I chose to go with a high contrast of black acrylic and the light color of basswood.  - I later apply a coat of a gray wood stain.

Be sure to follow all the safety guidelines for cutting out the acrylic and wood parts as these are flammable.  Also please ensure you wear appropriate safety gear such as eye protection!

After cutting out the acrylic and wood parts, I use a simple trick of applying masking tape or painter's tape to the top of the parts.  This is helpful when you have small parts that may fall down into the honeycomb bed.  With the tape all parts stay together while you remove the material from the laser.

Step3: Assemble the coasters

Next, I removed the tape and began assembling the coasters.  I like to dry fit everything and get all the parts together.  In this case you can use all parts that were cut out to make two coasters.

Step4: Apply Stain and glue

Once you have all the parts together, next you can remove the wood parts one at a time and apply a stain.  Be sure to let the stain dry before returning it to the coaster.  Finally, use CA glue to attach all the acrylic parts to the wood base and wood glue to attach all  of the wood parts.

Once completed set a heavy book or anything to keep pressure applied to the coasters while they dry.  You may want to apply polyurethane to the coasters for durability
