Dachshund Key Holder

Open the design file in your laser cutting software.

Set the material type according to your machine.

Make sure the material thickness is 3 mm.

Important:

• This project is designed for 3 mm MDF, as this is the material used in the original version.

• If you choose a different material or thickness, the hook holes must be adjusted, otherwise the hooks may not fit correctly.

Set the laser cutter to perform an automatic material measurement.

Each hook consists of two mirrored parts.

Glue the two mirrored pieces together

Make sure the clean sides face outward

The burned or less clean sides should face inward

Use a strong adhesive suitable for MDF.

Important:

Apply the glue precisely and avoid excess glue, so no glue residue is visible after drying.

Apply glue dots or adhesive to the hook slots on the dachshund plate, exactly as shown in the reference photo.

This ensures the hooks are inserted from the correct side

The hooks must face outward properly once installed

Insert the hooks and let the glue dry completely.

Take the decorative cover strip with the hearts (this part can be personalized if desired).

Glue it over the hook holes

Align it flush with the top edge where the cut-out rectangle ends

Make sure each heart is positioned directly above a hook

Press firmly and allow the glue to dry.

The dachshund wall mount consists of two parts.

Glue the smaller backing piece onto the back of the dachshund

Make sure the smaller piece is positioned underneath, creating a gap.

This gap allows the key holder to hang on two screws, one on the left and one on the right.

Ensure everything is aligned correctly before the glue sets.
