Engraved trinket box / light box

The design file contains 3 layers, red is the cut lines, purple is a score line around the edge of the images, and black is the pictures to engrave. The included pictures can easily be deleted and replaced with your own designs. 

If you want to make a smaller or larger box this handy box generator can be used to make templates for any shape or size.

Now that your design is ready you will need to place your material in the laser and set the parameters.

The settings listed above are what I used with a 5w xTool D1 Pro and 4mm MDF.

The sides and bottom of the box should be a precise fit and simply slot together without any glue required but the two parts of the lid will need to be carefully aligned and glued together.

Be extra careful to align the cutout pattern so that the lid fits perfectly on the finished box.

I'd recommend using wood glue and some clamps to hold it in position until the glue sets.
