Information

I work with wood as a hobby and was recently able to harvest some sweet gum from a tree that fell in the Spring of 2025. Sweet Gum is a dense wood and has excellent grain patterns and hardness. This piece is approximately 15" in length and 9" wide with two natural live edges. It has been sanded to 600 grit and hand rubbed with a unique blend of walnut, tung, and linseed oils to create a food safe finish. In addition, from a highly figured piece of Tiger Maple, which is often known as quilted maple, a small, 4" x 2" bowl was also turned on the lathe for the user to offer other condiments, etc. This product has the same finish. On the back of the cutting board, as well as on the bottom of the bowl, I used my xTool S1 to laser engrave my logo, which lets people know the who and where, and will also allow me to use a silver paint pen to personalize for the lucky person.
