Tealight holder for Mothersday

I‘m not a big fan designing inside XCS as it‘s lacking so many features I daily use as a graphic designer with in the adobe suite. So please notice, I build it with a different software and recreating or making changes might be a bit difficult inside XCS.

Just sharing the truth, this design was created by playing around for another project and I liked it and delayed it. But then the candle holder Idea was the best to use for this!

• I used a font and weld it to position it the way i liked
• Made a heart and placed it in the background
• Gave the writing an outline and subtracted this from the heart to create a false layered effect
• Created a pattern with the heart and made it to gave the heart in the background some more texture

This project is perfect to use scrap wood. All parts fit onto a half of a DIN A4 plywood sheet.

Building this tealight holder is very easy and quick.

1. Glue togehter the tealight base
2. Give it a good dry phase
3. Place your candle in the middle
4. Stick the Hearts and best mom into the holes from the top of the base but only 3 in the beginning
5. for better accessing now light up your candle
6. Add the last missing piece

Now your ready to enjoy this very lovely candle holder. 

I think its too cute to exist but I guess I now need to make my own a lot more with different design that are a bit better suiting :D
