Laser Engraving Instructions
Deep-Dish Pyrex Glass Casserole (Bottom Engrave, Read from Above)
This process was used specifically on a deep-dish Pyrex glass casserole with the design engraved on the underside so it is visible from above during use.
Preparation
Mask the dish
Tape off the sides and handles, leaving only the flat bottom surface exposed for engraving.
Apply paint mask
Spray the exposed bottom with black spray paint, applying a slightly heavier coat than average, but not excessively thick. Allow to dry completely.
Position the dish
Place the casserole dish upside down on the laser bed.
Set height and focus
Raise or lower the tray to accommodate the dish depth.
Move the laser head over the center of the dish and set proper focus.
Frame the job
Mark your work area to ensure proper placement.
Note: Any outer box in the file is used only for centering and alignment and should be set to “Ignore.”
