Information

You can make this basic coaster jig all on the F2. (compatible with F1).

First you will need to cut the base insert with will seat into the removable base plate of the F2. (red layer)

Second, score and cut out the top (purple layer) which will be glued to the base. The score line will give you a reference to glue the base on. I used gorilla super glue gel. Which worked well.

Third and final process, once you have glued the top and base together. Time to score reference lines to place coasters when engraving coasters. Before scoring, place the jig into the base plate, there will be a little play but not much. I recommend moving it into the front left corner so that it will be the same for every coaster you do. There are 3 reference sizes for common coasters. 100x100mm square coaster, 100mm circular coaster and 90mm circular coaster.

I did not do it for myself, but with left over wood, you could cut some short rails and glue onto the top to seat coasters into the jig quickly. I may do this in the future but for now, this jig does the job i need it to do.
