The Christmas tree star is used as a decorative element for the top branch of a Christmas tree. It adds a personal, crafted touch to the tree and shows how laser cutting and simple assembly techniques can be used to create seasonal decorations.
Instruction
Step1: Laser Cutting the Star
I placed the material into the laser cutter and laser-cut the star using the specified settings. I used Chroma Kraft 2 mm material and followed the recommended laser parameters to achieve clean and precise cuts.
Step2: Cleaning the Laser-Cut Parts
After removing the parts from the laser cutter, I carefully cleaned the star pieces. I removed any excess material and small remaining parts that were still attached to ensure clean edges and a precise fit for assembly.
Step3: Gluing the Two Stars Together
I applied glue to the marked areas on the back (lower) star, as shown in the photo. Then I carefully placed the top star onto it and pressed both parts together so they bonded properly.
Step4: Attaching the Ring
After the stars were glued together, I turned the star over. I applied glue to the areas shown in the photo and inserted the ring into place. I held it briefly so the glue could set and secure the ring firmly.
Step5: Placing the Star on the Tree
Once everything was completely dry, the Christmas tree star was finished. The ring allows the star to be placed easily on the top branch of the Christmas tree.
