Information

Tired of hunting down a new calendar every year? With this complete set of calendar plans, you’ll have everything you need to create your own calendars—forever. This is NOT a perpetual calendar, but a set of plans for creators to design calendars perpetually.
✨ What’s inside?
• 9 total canvases.
• Options for standing and laying rectangular, and flat panel calendars.
• A ready-to-use 2026 calendar with popular holidays already included.
• 7 canvases covering every possible year start (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday… all the way through Sunday).
• A final canvas showing every possible month layout (just add Feb 29 for leap years).
💡 How it works:
• Want a calendar for 2029? Just check what day January 1 falls on, pick the matching canvas, and you’ve got your full year ready.
• Leap year? No problem—plans include that too.
• No more typing, formatting, or designing months from scratch.
This isn’t just a calendar—it’s a toolkit for creators. Whether you’re designing for personal use, gifts, or commercial projects, these plans give you the freedom to build any calendar, any year, with ease.
👉 Perfect for makers, crafters, and designers who want flexibility and creativity without the hassle.

Instruction

Step1: Before you begin

I started this project a while ago and just recently completed it. I wanted something that I can refer to, copy and paste, etc, to create calendars without having to type the months out each and every time. There are 14 possible calendar years and every single one is included in this plan. That is 7 normal years and 7 leap years.
NOTE: THIS IS NOT A PERPETUAL CALENDAR. It is a set of calendar plans designed to be used by creators perpetually.

You can take these plans and design your own calendar with them every year. While I have this set up for each month grid, date number, and weekday to be scored, you can set this up to engrave as well - which I encourage for the dates and weekdays if you increase the sizes of the months. I include my settings for 1/8" birch for cut, engrave and score above. Feel free to use these settings if using the P2. If using any other machine and/or material, you will have to adjust your settings to match your tests.

NOTE: I started my calendars for this project on a Monday for each week. I know most calendars start on Sunday. To be honest, I am not sure why I started with Monday. To change this would be a monumental task, but if I do change it, I will update these plans to include those as well.

Step2: Which Calendar do I use?

So how does this work?

Look online for “What day of the week is January 1” and then the year you want. For example, I type in “What day of the week is January 1, 2036” The first result that pops says it is a Tuesday.
I open my canvases (Located on the lower left of XCS studio) and find the one labeled Tuesday. I find two calendars there. One labeled normal and the able labeled Leap Year. I then search to find out if 2036 is a leap year. And yes, it is. So, I select that calendar and move it to an empty canvas and procede with my creation.

Do keep in mind that I have grouped years together. Should you need to break the year up - for example, if you are making the rectangular calendar plans I included - you will need to ungroup and then group each month individually to do so.
