Information

This project has been scaled to fit the F1/F2 on Canvas 1 & 2 using the Slide Extension; however, you can cut each part individually on the F1/F2. A larger, full-size version is also included for users with bigger cutting beds on Canvas 3, along with an optional plain lid (no heart design) so you can engrave any custom text or font you prefer.

For reference, the full-size lid measures 122.6 × 118.04 mm, while the scaled-down version measures 106.01 × 102.02 mm. This means the scaled lid is 16.59 mm narrower and 16.02 mm shorter, with the depth remaining the same.

Instruction

1

Step1: Cutting on F1/F2 (Scaled Version)

Choose Canvas 1 for the heart-design lid or Canvas 2 for the plain lid.

Ensure the Slide Extension is enabled so the full layout fits correctly.
If you are cutting on a standard F1/F2 without the Slide Extension, separate the parts and place them across multiple canvases so each piece fits within your bed size.

You will have the following parts to cut:

Base

4 Side Walls

(2 of these include the hinge features)

Insert (heart-shaped ring holder)

Hinged Lid (decorated or plain version)

2

Step2: Cutting on Larger Machines

Use the full-size file provided — Canvas 3 for the heart lid or Canvas 4 for the plain lid. All elements are arranged at their original scale and are ready for cutting without any resizing.

You will have the following parts to cut:

Base

4 Side Walls (2 of these include the hinge features)

Insert (heart-shaped ring holder)

Hinged Lid (decorated or plain version)

Step3: Assembly Instructions

A. Build the Base & Frame
Apply a small bead of wood glue along the edges of the base, then attach the side walls or frame pieces around the perimeter. Make sure all corners are square and aligned, and allow the glue to set before continuing.

B. Insert the Ring Holder
Place the heart-shaped insert into the base cavity. It should fit snugly; you can add a small amount of glue if you prefer it to be permanently fixed- you can place a inner layer of material or sponge for the bed at this point.

C. Attach the Lid
Position the lid against the hinge slots or hinge components provided,. Check that the lid opens and closes smoothly.

Step4: Finishing (Optional)

You may lightly sand the edges for a smoother finish. If desired, apply stain, oil, or sealant—testing first on scrap wood. You can also engrave text or custom patterns on the plain lid version.
