After engraving and cutting, simply flip, align and glue both halves together to achieve a smooth 3D look without visible burnt edges. This ornament shows a silhouette scene of Santa, reindeer, houses, trees and stars arranged inside a circular bauble.
The project includes two mirrored cuts ready for double-sided assembly. When glued together, both sides show the same clean design and edges become fully hidden. Ideal as a tree decoration, window hanging or gift tag.
Tools Required
Laser cutter (xTool S1 / P2 / D1 Pro, Glowforge, Bambu Lab)
Wood glue
Clamps or binder clips
Fine sanding pad (optional)

Engrave: 80% power · 200–300 mm/s
Cut: 95% power · 6–8 mm/s
(Adjust according to your machine and plywood type.)
Assembly Instructions
1. Laser Engraving & Cutting
– Import the file into your software.
– Both ornament pieces are included already mirrored.
– First engrave, then cut the outline.
– Remove both pieces carefully from the cutting bed.
2. Double-Sided Build
– Place both pieces back-to-back (they match perfectly).
– Apply a thin layer of glue on the perimeter and key points.
– Press and clamp for 5–10 minutes.
– This eliminates visible burn edges and creates a true double-sided ornament.
3. Finishing
– Light sanding is optional.
– Add ribbon for hanging.
– Can be painted or stained if desired.
