Information

      A beautiful Christmas ornament featuring an Old World Santa nested in a crescent moon with a star.  I cut and engraved this on pre-painted white wood then used red and gold paint to paint other parts of the ornament.

Instruction

Step1: Prepare the File for Laser Processing

Preview

Select 3mm basswood from the materials library. Use the default cut and engrave settings for that material or change to your personal preference.

I pre-painted the basswood with white acrylic craft paint. Let dry before cutting.

This ornament looks great with or without the backer so send only the pieces you want to the laser for processing.

Step2: Paint the Pieces

I cut 2 versions of this design. One I left as is, no additional painting. The other I painted the hat red, lips blush, and the star gold, and added gold accent around the edges of the design. The back piece was painted midnight blue. Finish off with ribbon and some beads.
