Introducing AEON, a beautifully designed laser-cut perpetual desk calendar and organizer, crafted with precision, symbolism, and timeless elegance. The name AEON, engraved on the front panel, comes from Ancient Greek (αἰών) and carries a poetic meaning: the eternal flow of time, the unbroken cycle of ages, and the quiet passage between bygone eras and those yet to come. It represents not just timekeeping, but the philosophy of time itself, vast, cyclical, and ever-unfolding.
This unique piece is carefully crafted from 3mm basswood and 3mm black acrylic, combining natural warmth with modern sophistication. Its graceful arch-top silhouette and dual-tone detailing make it a striking yet calming presence in any workspace.

Step1
Step 1 – Attach the back base holder
Place the larger back piece flat with the scored outline facing up. Align the smaller half-circle base holder perfectly inside the scored shape (as shown in the pictures), making sure the straight edges match. Once aligned, glue it in place and press firmly until secure. This positioning is very important for the calendar to stand correctly.

Step 2 – Attach the front frame
Place the main calendar piece facing up. Align the decorative front frame precisely over it, making sure every edge sits perfectly edge-to-edge. Once the frame matches the outline exactly, glue it in place and press gently until fully secured. Proper alignment here ensures a clean, professional finish.
Step3
Step 3 – Install the weekday/date frame and acrylic panels
Place the wooden weekday and day-number frame into the rectangular area at the bottom of the calendar. Make sure it sits perfectly inside the front frame. The word “AEON” must be positioned on the left side and fully readable.
Once aligned, glue the frame in place.
After that, insert and attach the black acrylic pieces into their matching top sections, filling each compartment exactly as shown. Ensure each acrylic panel fits flush within the wooden frame for a clean, polished look.
Step4
Step 4 – Insert the tiny card-holder pins
Locate the small rectangular pins included in your kit. Insert each pin into the small square holes along the weekday and number card area, exactly where shown in the images. Make sure each pin stands upright and fits snugly—these will hold your interchangeable cards in place.
Step5
Step 5 – Assemble the storage section
Lay the large back panel of the storage unit flat. Begin by attaching the two patterned side pieces and the inner dividers into their matching slots. Each piece is labeled with TOP, BACK, or BOTTOM, and arrows indicate the exact direction each part should face. Make sure to follow these guides as you insert the pieces. Slide everything in firmly until each part locks into place—this forms the structure for all three storage compartments.
P.S.
In these photos the labels are written in pencil, but in the .xcs file you download all names and arrows are laser-scored onto the pieces.
If you are comfortable assembling without the guides, you may simply ignore the scored names and arrows.
Step6
Step 6 – Attach the top and bottom panels of the drawer container
Take the TOP and BOTTOM panels and align them with the storage frame you assembled in the previous step. Follow the scored arrows and names on each piece—they show exactly which direction each panel should face.
Slide the bottom panel into place first, making sure all tabs fit securely into their slots. Then attach the top panel the same way, pressing gently until everything locks together.
Once both panels are attached correctly, your drawer container is fully assembled and ready for the drawers.
Step7
Step 7 – Attach the drawer base pads
Flip the drawer container upside down. Take the four small square pads and glue them onto the bottom corners of the structure, exactly as shown in the image. These pieces act as stable feet for the drawer unit, helping it sit evenly and preventing wobbling.
Step8
Step 8 – Assemble the drawers
Gather the drawer pieces as shown. Each part has alignment guides, here written in pencil, but in your downloaded file they are laser-scored directly onto the wood.
Follow the scored labels (B, L, R) to attach the Back, Left, and Right sides to the bottom panel. Make sure each piece matches its corresponding guide.
Finally, attach the acrylic panel to the front of the drawer. This is the visible side, so ensure it sits cleanly and flush with the edges.
Repeat the same steps for all three drawers.
Step9
Step 9 – Attach the decorative top panel (with pen holder and calendar support slot)
Place the patterned black acrylic top piece over the drawer container. Carefully align it so that:
The long pen-holder slot matches the channel underneath
The tiny long slot at the back aligns perfectly with the matching slot on the top of the storage unit
This second slot is very important—it will later hold and support the main part of the calendar, keeping it upright and secure.
Once both slots are aligned and the panel sits flush on all sides, glue the decorative top in place. This completes the look of the drawer section and adds both the pen holder and the support mechanism for the calendar.
Your finished storage unit should now look exactly like the final image.
Step10
Step 10 – Attach the main calendar support stand
Take the curved support piece and align its tab with the slot on the back of the main calendar panel. Slide it in gently until it sits fully and securely in place, just like shown in the images.
This support stand holds the calendar upright and ensures it fits correctly into the long slot on top of the drawer container from Step 9.
Step11
Step 11 – Mount the calendar onto the storage base
Place the completed calendar onto the drawer container. Align the bottom edge of the calendar with the tiny long slot you positioned in Step 9. Slide the calendar down gently so the slot securely holds it in place.
Make sure the curved back support (installed in Step 10) sits correctly on the top surface of the storage unit. When both the slot and the support are aligned, the calendar will stand firmly and perfectly upright.
