I created this bulb ornament as a way to mix a sweater-style ornament and a traditional bulb style together to create something unique. You can paint the elements or keep it uncolored.
I love using the MDF hardboard from Home Depot because it is cost-effective, sturdy, and easy to work with.
Supplies:
-MDF Hardboard from Home Depot
-String, hook, twine to hang the ornament
-Magic eraser, wipe, or damp cloth
-Optional: paint or markers
Load the file and adjust settings as needed. I used the white MDF from Home Depot. I have found it needs more power than traditional MDF. What works for me is 95% power and 6 speed for cutting, while engraving works with a variety of settings.
Remove the cut item from the baseplate and wipe the soot with a wipe or damp cloth.
Personally, I like both the colored and non-colored look. Depending on the style you choose you can use acrylic markers or sharpies to color the fillable elements any way you like.
Depending on how you want to display this, you can select some twine, string, or a metal hook to hang this on the tree.
