Information

I think color engraving is generally done on stainless steel.
However, the types of stainless steel are unclear.
When purchasing a new plate, we choose one that allows us to confirm the type of stainless steel it is and use it as the material for color engraving.
The problem with color engraving is the reflectivity of the material.
That's when I came up with the idea of titanium.
I own many parts made from pure titanium and Ti6AL-4V.
So I spent a considerable amount of time researching various parameters and conducting color engraving tests on expensive pure titanium plates.
Here are some of the results, although they are only photos.

The color may be completely different depending on the country, region, power consumption, voltage, atmospheric pressure, amount of moisture in the air, and dirt on the unit lens.
We collected data over and over again.
We have released the file, but the kHz values are very different.
These values were obtained in a trial of the current version of XS, so we do not think they will be used in the current version.
Titanium material is expensive, so a considerable amount was used up during testing.
We plan to order new pure titanium and conduct further testing.
Enjoy color engraving with pure titanium, which has stronger color expression than stainless steel.
