Step1
(1)
Start by using Canvas Cut.
(2)
align the bamboo key ring tag with the framing so that the cutout is centered on the tag.
(3)
Cut the pocket for the inlay in the key ring tag.
(4)
take a piece of 0.5mm wood veneer approx. 40x40mm. and cover the back with some form of metal tape.
(5)
Use canvas inlay.
Align the veneer with the framing tool.
then cut the inlay.
Step2
(6)
cut the inlay out of the veneer, keeping the metal tape on the back.
(7)
Fill the cutout pocket in the key ring tag with glue and wipe off any excess glue
(8)
take the inlay with the metal tape facing up and
align the inlay to match the pattern in the cutout with glue in it.
(9)
Pry the inlay gently from side to side until it clicks into place.
(10)
leave the key ring tag under pressure overnight.
Step3
(11)
carefully remove the metal tape and sand the tag with sandpaper until smooth.
give the tag a little beeswax or similar.
