I made this piece because I wanted to capture the cute-but-creepy vibe that so many of us neurospicy goblins adore, something magical, protective, and just a little weird. It’s a reminder that even tiny creatures can hold big power (and look adorable doing it).
Instruction
Step1: Blank Coaster Prep
Start with a blank slate coaster, the kind with that satisfyingly rough texture and deep, moody stone vibes. Give it a gentle wipe-down to remove any dust or leftover packaging greeblies. You don’t want anything getting between your laser and the artful chaos you're about to unleash.
Step2: Design Prep (Done For You)
The design was cleaned up and prepped to be laser-ready, with contrast adjusted in LightBurn to help those delicate runes and swirly cosmic bits really shine. This part is already done for you.
Step3
Once your coaster is prepped and your file loaded, center it up, close the lid, and let the laser do its mysterious little dance.
No masking needed, the natural texture of slate takes beautifully to engraving. Just be sure you’re working in a well-ventilated area (you know, so the spirits and the smoke both have a way out).
