      My kids love drawing. They are little artists. I am always trying to figure out ways to turn their artworks into keepsakes that I can treasure forever. My 4 year old son drew a cute little flower with a heart (his love for me) and wrote my name in a circle the other day. I immediately thought that it would be a beautiful pendant for a necklace.

Using my xTool machine (the xTool P2 in this case), I was able to turn his artwork into a pendant. I always feel empowered when I am able to turn my kids artworks and ideas into physical keepsakes or toys using my laser. I love seeing their faces and smiles when they see their drawings turned into a physical product.

Step1: Laser Cut Out

Preview

Place the plywood on the slats in the machine.
Open the file and place the design on the wood using the cameras.
Set the black cut lines to 40 Power and 15 Speed for Cut. I only need 1 Pass at this setting.
Measure the distance. I got 3.15 mm as my distance for 3mm plywood sheet on top of the slats.
Click the green Process button on the top right of the screen.
A preview will be shown. Click the green Start button (top right) to send it to the machine.
Press the button on the P2 machine to start.
