      I made a motivational quote picture frame in an effort to inspire and uplift. Perfect for your home, office, or as a gift, this frame is a stylish way to be reminded of the values that keep you moving forward. Step1: Create the design

I chose the saying I wanted to etch into the glass of the picture frame; “Make today a good day.” I wanted the text to be slightly stylized so I hand-drew it on my IPad using the Procreate app. I exported the final product as a .png to bring into XTool Creative Space.

Step2: Painting the background

I wanted a bright background of cheery colours to make the engraved saying stand out. I painted an abstract background with watercolour paint on a piece of paper to fit into the frame. I used 117lb weight paper to help prevent the warping that can happen with watercolour paints. I let the paper dry while I proceeded with the next step.
