Santa has a cutout, score and engrave element. The outline of Santa is set to score and the inside is engrave.
Check settings for each score, engrave and cutting. I set them to my liking but your tastes might be different.
The cottage is set as a mirror image so they line up like a real front and back of a 3D object. So make sure you do not just cut the same one twice.

The small rectangular pieces with the 2 little nubs are to go between the cottage pieces at the top 2 holes. These hold up Santa.
The 2 rectangular pieces that have the 2 slits are to hold the cottage together at the bottom. They also look like a bit of a porch on the cottage.

Before assembling the final project be sure to paint the pieces before gluing them together. I found that putting the bottom rectangular pieces on was a lot easier than putting in the top pieces. The bottom held it snugly as I wiggled the top parts in. Using a clamp of some kind to hold it as it dries is best.
For an added touch I found a little string of pixie LED lights to wrap around Santa to bring it to life.
