Use a patternply. I used this wood look with black acrylic.

Use image to engrave and cut out image from patternply

Step3: Cut Basswood

Cut out the heart and small circle in basswood as well.

Step4: Pant and glue

Because I didn't have red acrylic, I used paint and cutting to provide dimention.
Paint where the love and adopt me would go.
Glue the basswood and patternply together!
