you should not make the template smaller as otherwise the edges will become too thin and break

Step2: glue & assemble

stick the dark side onto the light side
make sure that it is the same on all sides
i applied the glue thinly with my finger
as soon as it sticks
put a ring on the tree
open the second ring and put the plug on it
and then finally the tree
