I made this holiday sign for a craft fair. It was a quick project; the top layer's cutting time was 16 minutes. The project is sized for a 16-inch round base, so Canvas 2 has a puzzle piece round in case you need it.

I cut the pinecone bottom and the “WELCOME” word on one 19X12 3mm MDF board. I used a spare piece of MDF to cut the strip of pine trees.

I painted the base dark brown and after that dried, I repainted the base tan and used a wood graining tool for a natural wood effect.
The top layer pieces were painted with a small paint roller in cream, red and green acrylic paint (2 coats).
I finished the project by spraying it with a coat of clear acrylic paint (satin).
