Instruction

Step1: Step 1: Step 1: Mounting the brackets/retaining plates

The retaining plates are each constructed in two layers : a slotted plate and an unslotted base plate.
The base plate without slot serves as the lowest layer and provides a stable contact surface.
The slotted plate is then aligned precisely on top of each other and glued over the entire surface, creating a precise groove that is precisely matched to the 3 mm thick material.

A total of 16individual parts are needed for the "lighter"  elves.
These consist of the inner contour (light), the back plate, the boots and the two-part holder (a slotted plate and an unslotted base plate).
All 11 parts of the inner contour are precisely positioned on the back plate and the boots and permanently glued. This creates a clean, stable and precisely fitting figure.

The lasered positioning lines on the back plate and boots serve as a practical assembly aid and enable simple and exact alignment of the individual contour elements. For exact orientation during assembly, please refer to the example picture .

A total of eight individual parts are needed for the "lighter" gnome .
These consist of the outer contour & the boots, the back plate and the two-part bracket (one slotted plate and one unslotted base plate).
All eight parts of the outer contour are precisely positioned on the back plate and the boots and permanently glued. This creates a clean, stable and precisely fitting figure.

For assembly, you need the boots that have already been glued together and two pieces of rope about 5-6 cm long. The type of rope can be chosen freely – the only important thing is that it fits easily through the recesses provided.

The other end of the rope is then glued to the boot. For a particularly stable and durable connection, it is recommended to use superglue or another strong adhesive suitable for the material.

Now one of the already glued gnome figures, the prepared boots are connected with ropesand a base plate.

First, the boots or ropes are positioned correctly. It is important to make sure that the knots at the ends of the ropes are behind the recess provided for this purpose on the gnome. The knots later serve as a safety device and prevent the ropes – and thus the boots – from slipping through the recesses.

As soon as both ropes are in place, the gnome can be connected to the base plate.

To do this, the bar on the underside of the gnome figure, which is inserted into the corresponding recess of the base plate, is provided with superglue or another strong, suitable adhesive .

Then insert the bar into the recess of the base plate and press the gnome figure firmly until it sits securely and straight.

Then let the glue harden completely.

Done! The gnome is now firmly attached to the base plate and the hanging boots are securely fixed by the knots.
