Punny Halloween Bookmarks with Ghost, Skeleton, Bat and Witch Cat Reading Books

The file has all 4 bookmarks at 50 x 158 mm. In the photos they are scaled to 95% (42.5 x 150 mm), two per 198 x 98 mm offcut. Scale to fit your wood, but keep them at least 40 mm wide so the figures stay strong.

Run a 20 mm test square on your own wood first.

xTool P2S 55W, honeycomb panel, 2 mm basswood plywood.

Engrave (blue and green): 18% power, 350 mm/s, 1 pass
Cut (red): 50% power, 30 mm/s, 1 pass

Engrave first, then cut. The cut went through cleanly in one pass.

Push the figures out gently: the joint at the bottom of the window is the thinnest part.

Wipe any smoke off with a slightly damp cloth or a melamine sponge, seal with matte varnish or wax, and add an orange or black tassel.

The tiny hole in the skeleton's hand in my photos came from a stray cut line; it's fixed in the file.
